In the final analysis, landscapers and their companies get involved in what the local regulations allow and what their customers demand.  If you need a versatile landscaper who handles turn-key installations and hands-off maintenance, they'll either take care of all your outdoor problems or subcontract it to someone who can.  But you'd better have more money than time.
